The Top 10 reasons to choose Prague for your next event destination

Welcome to Prague Events!

We know that there are many MICE destinations to choose from in Europe, all of which present a compelling case… However, we thought that we would help to make your decision easier with our quick list “Top 10” list of reasons that Prague is, most definitely, your best choice!

1. Easy to get to

Prague is right in the centre of Europe, with direct flights less than two hours away from most major European cities. The airport is easy to navigate, with only two terminals and ideal conditions to meet and greet arrivals. There are also several private lounges and business centres for VIP travel and comfort. Top it off with an average travel time between the airport and Prague city centre of 20-30 minutes, and you have a recipe for a superior travel experience.

2. Unparalleled historical architecture

Prague is known worldwide as “The City of 100 Spires”. While many of the neighbouring cities were destroyed in previous decades, Prague’s historical treasures remained intact and are unique locations for treasure hunts, tours and other wonderful team building activities. Prague’s small size is an asset for your group events, as most of the city sights are easily walkable downtown.

3. 5-star accommodation

There is definitely no shortage of choice when it comes to hotels in Prague. Whether you are looking for big names such as the Radisson, Boscolo, Marriott, Four Seasons or Hilton, or would rather enjoy a boutique hotel experience, you are sure to find the perfect match for you in the city centre.

4. Quality conference venues.

There are several choices of meeting rooms and conference centres within walking distance of all that Prague has to offer.  Looking to book a larger event? Prague has one main congress centre for several thousand guests, which is located on the edge of downtown with great accessibility to anywhere in the city.

5. Superb dining experiences

Whether you are a “foodie” looking for a Michelin star or a group looking for unique gastronomy adventure, Prague boasts world-class dining standards. There are three Michelin star restaurants in Prague, countless pubs and options for everything in between. For larger groups, Prague has many casual or fine dining options that can easily accommodate anywhere from 50 to even 800+ guests.

6. Incredible venues

One of our favourite features of this city is the over 100 venues for gala dinners, awards ceremonies and other events, either in the heart of Prague or just a few minutes-drive away. Wow your guests with private rooms in the Prague Castle, terraces with a breathtaking view of the city, rent a private chateau with beautiful gardens or a cocktail reception on a river cruise.

7. Peace of mind

Prague is among the safest cities in Europe – guests can feel safe walking downtown anytime, day or night. (And we are also securely outside any earthquake zone!)

8. Prague’s public transport is second to none

With one of the most efficient (and most affordable!) transport systems in Europe, your guests can get anywhere in the city quickly and easily, at any time of day or night.

9. There is plenty to do

After a long day of conferences, explore all that the city has to offer. Many areas of Prague host weekly farmers’ markets and seasonal Christmas and Easter markets. In the summer months, there is a hub of activity along the Vltava river, outdoor music festivals, sporting events and beer gardens… but, of course, there is always shopping! Enjoy some of the largest shopping centres in Central Europe, or head to Pariska street for a little luxury.

10. Mix it up with a day trip

There are many sites to see and activities to do in nearby towns. Visit the renowned UNESCO heritage site of Cesky Krumlov, take a bike trip to Karlstejn castle, have a spa day in Karlovy Vary or take a tour of the famous Pilsner Urquell brewery.

We hope to see you soon!
